Hot ‘N’ Spicy Chicken Wings
Here is a great recipe well suited for this weekend! Grey Cup parties and soon work holiday parties. Kids love these with sour cream or ranch dip. Feel free to control the “heat” by adjusting the hot pepper sauce.
- 3 lbs. chicken wings (remove tips)
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
- 2 Tbsps brown sugar, packed
- 1 Tbsp dijon mustard
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 Tbsp Soya sauce
- 2 Tbsps hot pepper sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 Tbsps dry minced onions
Cover a broiler pan with foil and poke holes in foil
Arrange wings in a single layer. Place under broiler and brown – flip once brown to brown the other sides.
In saucepan mix all ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 to 10 minutes. Dip wings in sauce and place back on covered cooking sheet. Bake the coated wings for 35 to 40 minutes at 375℉. Baste with remaining sauce a few times through the cooking time.
During the last few minutes of cooking, put oven back on broil and crisp up the wings until perfection.
Enjoy.
